Unfortunately we have had to say farewell to Colin on drums as he has moved on. We feel sure he will find a new project soon.
We welcome on-board Mal B, a drummer/percussionist with over 40 years experience. Looking forward to having Mal in the band. He will be a great asset...

We have just announced the date for the 2019 Prostate Cancer Music Extravaganza. The date is Saturday July 13th at The Wheatsheaf Inn, Birtley so please mark it in your diary.
In the New Year, we will be looking for a Headlining Band/Bands/Solo Acts/Acoustic Acts and any other forms of entertainment to help raise funds for this great charity. Let's make it another day to remember...
Welcome to the new look Big River website. Have a look through and enjoy some of the past and present band pictures. Check out our 2018/19 Shows page, accessible from the menu at the top of the page. We have also added an unavailable for gigs page for any dates we cannot do but, please feel free to email us if there is a date on there you would really like us to play.
If you wish to be kept up to date, please feel free to join our mailing list above for the latest news. You can also listen to some of the songs we cover by clicking here Music Covers or going to the tab above.
We would love to see old and new supporters enjoy the Big River experience and we have some great gigs already booked for 2019 and some more great shows/festivals in the pipeline. We are hoping to hold another Prostate Cancer UK music extravaganza, similar to the one we held in early September 2018. It was a fantastic day and a great success raising more than £1600 for this great charity.
Why not join our mailing list and be amongst the first ones to hear about this and more.
Thank you for all of your support. We love doing what we do, but doing it for our loyal fan base makes it all worth while and keeps us going from strength to strength. We have some of our own songs in the pipeline and hope to get them recorded in the not too distant future.
We look forward to your continued support...
